Man I survived it.
2 and a half weeks in the US + transit time. whew. We got back yesterday (sunday) morning. Arrived into Shannon at about 7am after a long night flight with no sleep and hella turbulance (the pilot said it was his worst Atlantic crossing ever)... only to find out Ireland is in the middle of an ice snap and I had to drive us home at about 20 km/ph due to severely slippery roads. stresssssssssss. what should have been an hour and a half on a quiet sunday morning turned out to be 3 hours of turmoil on a road littered with nasty crashes and deadly accidents, one after another.
But we made it. Must have been all those years of practice living out in Wyoming. heh heh. who'dve ever thought I'd be thankful for that later in life!?
Anyway it was a trip. My first american christmas in 5 years. My husband's first ever. His first visit to Washington DC, first ever meeting of a lot of my nutty friends, and so on.
