Random Info T-Shirts?

I just saw the most hilarious t-shirt in the Woolworths while we were getting something for lunch. It was a kid's shirt (whatever-sizes-kids-wear) hanging on the rack as we walked through the asiles from the food department and it said:
"I wanted a camouflage tee-shirt
But I couldn't find one".
Now WTF is THAT?!!?!?
I halfway pissed myself and collapsed in hysterics right in the middle of Woolies, not really sure why but I guess knowing my sense of humour it had something to do with the complete randomness of the information given on said t-shirt, combined with the somewhat-related fact that it kinda in a sorta you-gotta-look-for-it way, alludes to that really bad cliché "my parents went to Branson and all I got was this lousy...." etc.
I am so very, very easily entertained.
That rug that we have in the living room - the really shaggy pile orange stripey one is the puppies' FAVORITE place to lie down and this SUCKS because it starts to get dirty/stinky and you can't wash it. Well you can shake it out (if you can lift the 20kg of leather & heavy fabric), but that doesnt fix the smell. So monday I just said to Mary "can you maybe hang that out on the line or something during the day so we can air it out?" and she said no problems, etc and that was that.
We came home and this rug not only smelled totally fine, but it was brand-spanking-new-CLEAN too?! I have no idea what she does and I have no idea if it's something you can learn in school or what but this lady boggles my mind. I am stumped on a daily basis. It's silky shag on leather, completely un-washable. And yet she can clean it in some mysterious way totally beyond me.
I do know that she shampoos the carpets by hand with a scrub brush. But I dont think that would've worked on the rug.... ? I really dunno.
I also know that now that it's getting darker, earlier, whenever we arrive home she has put the puppies inside and has turned on some lights and the porch light for us. That is just too sweet.
South Africa this weekend was great. I just friggin LOVE it that Pretoria is only 3 hours away, we can go all the time- it's like.... civilization!!! Amazing greek restaurant: check. Beautiful bottles of SA wine: check. The biggest mall in the southern hemisphere (with about 100 curtain/interior furnishing stores): check.
Had a brilliant time with Ma & Pa P., watched loads of cricket (World Cup) but SA lost against the Aussies (poo poo) however that was supplemented with loads of Super 14 rugby - what more could a girl ask for in a weekend. Also, we finally bought our satellite decoder and channel card so TV will be hooked up in The Hood within a couple days now. (again I say "poo" and "poo") But dammit we'll have like 10 sports channels and international news again. Whatever. I just have to put a cap on the daily screen-time and stick to it. I'm already battling with the new PS2.... eesh.
Jéan came up for coffee & shopping at Menlyn (said biggest mall in the southern hem) on saturday and helped me pick out some ace curtains for the bedroom, guest bedroom, and living room. That sounds like a lot (and it sure as hell cost A LOT) but we STILL have at least 4 other rooms to go so I'm swooning with fear as to what this is doing to my overall housing decor budget. I got red courderoy with silver eyelits for the master bedroom (nice and dark), and a sort of halfway-down-the-road-to-"Lime"-but-still-on-the-"Sage"-spectrum suede set with silver eyelits for the guest bedroom (and matching white/light green duvet cover for the bed) and for the sliding glass doors in the living room it's orange suede x 2, with 1 fawn suede on either side (it's like 4 friggin METERS of glass in there so I had to buy 4 curtains), also silver eyelits.
Or is it eyelEt? Probably eyelets.
whatever!
must work now. Lunch is OVAH.
