"Kramer goes to a fantasy camp? His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp." (George)
There's a general theme running through my life at the moment. That theme is of a homeless, lazy, friendless expat who loves her dogs more than children and wants a smart phone. You could decorate a whole house in those colours, I'm sure.
It's all around me this 2009. Friends come (M&J), friends leave (P, Ubs, and now the Mr's best mate and tennis partner, Gerrit). We watch Office Space ("What would I do if I had a million dollars? Nothing. I would do nothing."), I avoid work at all costs, staring at dreamy websites of places I'd rather be, jobs I'd rather do, we get evicted, there's no houses in town, I realize I don't have any motivation except love, but I passed my exams from last year (yea!), and can look forward to doing more of the same this year!
Oh, and there's rouge varmints living in our ceilings and the Mr. broke the key to the back door, our toilet doesnt work, and I realize it's a good thing we got evicted, but due to the psychoness of our landlords there's probably a snowball's chance in hell that we're ever going to get that deposit back!
So the big dreams are:
- finding an awesome house in our budget, that is available, with decent landlords
- figuring out how I can like my job
- making new friends to replace the 3 that are abandoning us
- hijacking Mary from our current psycho landlords & abducting her
- having all my friends from overseas move to Botswana for some good reason
- infiltrating the Indian population of G-city in search of laughter and good food
- going to the yacht club for sundowners after work.
OK I have no control over any of those at present, except obviously the last one. Since the Mr.'s back is hurt and we can't go to the gym tonight I think I'm gonna just have to make that one happen, and just hope for the rest.

You have varmints in SA that wear rouge??? Have them call me, I've got some old Mary Kay lying around.
Hey man... all I can say is, This Too Shall Pass! I have every confidence you'll soon jump this hurdle just like you do all the other ones.
