Getting evicted over xmas holidays by our psycho landlords was annoying, but we always thought there would be plenty of choices for finding a new, better place, when we got back home. uhhhh... NOT so much the case. What is the deal, Camille??? It's like the whole time we've been living here there's been house after house on the market, available for rent. Now? Economic crisis? People not moving? Companies in limbo? Fear? Huh? NOTHING!??! This is totally freaky. It's like there's only 10 houses in the whole of G-city for rent, and half of those are ghetto and the other half are waaaaay out of our budget.
And I'm not even talking houses that I am not interested in because they're not in our top 3 neighbourhoods of choice... I'm talking DWELLINGS. IN GENERAL. The Mr. is even looking now in "desperation row".... which is basically the big whitewashed suburb on the *completely opposite* side of town, 10 minutes outside of town actually, from our office. The one where sure we'd have a cafe and a few shops and a Chinese restaurant just around the corner, but we'd also be plopped in the middle of a thousand white South Africans and all their big ugly security walls and electric fences, amongst their soccer mom SUVs and 8-bedroom monstrosities on an itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny plot. It is our hell. It is NOT where we want to live. Hell, it's an extra 30 minutes in traffic every day! AGH!!
What ever are we going to do?!?!?!? THERE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HOUSES!!!!!!
