You know ive had just about enough of these ass-clowns at one of my job sites. For nearly 11 months now i have been screaming at them on a WEEKLY basis, and then screaming at their boss and his boss in front of the whole project team on a MONTHLY basis, and they just proceed to keep FAILING. Miserably. Threats are dished out, promises are made, apologies are given, and then Jack Poop Wad happens!!! Today I pounded my finger on the table for extra added effect. I raised my voice to just shy of "outside voice" levels. I used power words like "unacceptable", "farce", "absurd", and "exasperated". Of course the irony isnt lost on me that those at fault have the english vocab capacity of my box of tomato juice.
What is really starting to chap my hide is the lack of support from my client (their employer) but thats a whole 'nother story that involves him making jokes about my job and health and safety in general, and having a completely alterior motive.
Alas I am but a professional, though, and while the option looks very tempting, i will continue to refrain from showing up at next month's mtg and slamming my fist down on the table and shouting "You know what?? I actually DONT give a rats ass!! I hope you all fall off your own dodgey scaffolding and get run over by those giant JCBs while cement drowns your pancake corpses and electrical fires burn your remains before it dries!!! Im OUT!!!"
Eish. This is why I never blog about work- it brings out my demons!!
Im at the deli now waiting for the printers to finish my GIANT publication. That means cappucinos and half a muffin (taking other half back to the Mr). Thats a much more pleasant thing to focus on. On the clock, too. Much better.
Today at the print shop I bumped into a guy printing Hash House Harrierz posters. Ive always wanted to find one of those clubs. It sounds fun. I told him to email me details. Exciting. New people to meet?
The Mr is oooooover the moon as tonight he's back on the tennis court for the 1st time since G. left him in the tennis-lurch, by moving to Vietnam. Our friend DD (who also just happens to be SuperVet!) wants to pick up his game again. He used to be on the National team, so the Mr will actually get some good work cut out for him. Yea! I hope they make it a regular thing- that would make him soooo happy. That AND we love The D and his wife. Everybody could win here!
Ok, back to the printers I go...
