I just got off the phone with the director of DEA, having given him my very calm, very collected account of what happened on monday with that COW of an employee of his who took me on, over the phone.
I told him that if my employees had ever treated anyone like that over the phone, I would want to know about it, and that I was extremely (sniff, sniff) upset about the way that I was spoken to, and that I don't like conflict and was extremely worried that this woman (she's more like 22 years old or something) would continue to begrudge me and my company in the future due to the fact that she obviously has it out for us. I know she'll get reprimanded and then probably hate me even more, but hey, I've got the upper hand now, babe!
He agreed and said that he would have a talk with all his staff about basic common courtesy, and impress upon them that they must treat colleagues, clients, and peers with the basic human respect that they carry with them at home, in public, socially, etc.
I think I got my point across. What I regret is that I didnt throw in there how the day after this cow screamed down the phone at me, that I had a call from the Office of the President, asking for feedback on the competency and reliability and basic service being given out by the DEA at the moment. MAN I'm kicking myself. These guys need to wake up and realize their department is getting investigated by The Prez himself. Let's see how they handle us private industry types then...
